My client is a nationwide Construction and Property Consultancy. A vacancy has now arisen for a junior/intermediate Design engineer (Building Services)

General Overview:
Depending on entry level, as a Building Services Design Engineer candidates will be expected to possess or develop knowledge and skills attained during previous work experience within the construction industry. Duties will comprise but not be limited to:

? Preparation of design and site supervision of mechanical and electrical building services
? Space heating systems
? Ventilation; Air conditioning and comfort cooling
? Process plant
? Domestic hot and cold water services
? Lighting and Electrical services
? Plumbing; Kitchen equipment
? Lifts
? Fire detection and alarm systems; Security systems
? Telephone and IT systems
? Building and energy management systems
? Value engineering analysis and Added value to the design
? Calculation, design, drawing and specification of the aforementioned
? Preparation of ?as fitted? drawings and operating and maintenance manuals
? Carry out troubleshooting exercises associated with energy consumption and the provision of suitable internal conditions, surveys, reports, schedules of dilapidation and feasibility reports.
? Carry out preparation of planned maintenance specifications, planning of maintenance procedures and contract management and reporting.

Qualifications: Ideally candidates will be expected to have attained a recognised degree in the construction profession or have experience as a Building Services Engineer.

Skills:
? Computer literate.
? Good written and oral communication.
? Basic technical understanding of M&E systems.
? Team player.
? Ability to manage projects with minimum supervision (depending on experience)
