Our client in London, a part government, part private led organisation who are at the forefront of major global strategy devising and implementation in the Low Carbon and Energy Efficiency sector are still expanding and are looking for various talented Strategy Managers to join their UK team.
The scope of the role will be to help develop the company strategy, inform business and policy makers based on market insight and provide strategy and markets consultancy support across the organisation.
You will lead problem solving effort on assigned projects, manage discrete projects including developing scopes of work, leading procurement processes, co-ordinating pilots and managing contractors and/or internal teams, Ensure effective coordination, communication and dissemination of project plans and project end products, Help to shape and develop the overall strategy of the organisation, Deliver and support internal improvement projects, Develop and deliver policy and market insights for internal use and external audiences, Inform and influence Government policy on low carbon issues, Feed into business development in terms of ideas generation and evaluation, Be an active member of strategy & markets and technology teams, through engaging in problem solving/supporting projects across the company.
As part of the above you will provide a clear strategic direction and problem solving support to the organisation and its programmes,Provide policy makers with key insights that help them accelerate progress towards a low carbon economy, Provide consulting support to other functional areas in a timely and high quality manner, Carbon saved and carbon cost effectiveness of the products delivered by the ?Delivery? Programme (including customer service), Delivery of agreed projects to time, budget and quality and achieve impact (e.g. did project develop significant new thinking/ engage and influence stakeholders/deliver bottom line carbon savings).
You will posess strong strategic problem solving skills (comfortable with complex analysis), have strong project/process management skills with good interpersonal and influencing skills, show good communication skills (written and oral) and have the ability to work effectively in a complex team environment.
You musy have project management experience, including exposure to senior management, at either strategic management consultancy or in a corporate strategy/line management role at a blue chip corporate, Be Degree educated (at least 2:1) preferably in a science/engineering discipline, APost graduate business or science /engineering qualification would be desired and experience of energy efficiency and low carbon technologies could be a distinct advantage.
