Consultant Bioenergy (m/f)
The position
A motivated and enthusiastic consultant is required to join the Bioenergy Division of Ecofys UK. You will provide consultancy services to Industrial clients as well as government and NGOs. The role will focus on 5 core areas:
? biomass combustion and co-firing
? electricity and/or heat generation (CHP)
? biofuels, including second generation technology developments
? anaerobic digestion and/or biogas
? biomass supply chain sustainability
Key activities will include resource assessments, conceptual development, technology selection, feasibility studies, project development support and guidance on planning permission applications. You will be expected to generate sales leads via your knowledge of the UK market and existing contact network and write proposals to secure new consulting contracts. You will also play a key support role to non-bioenergy colleagues on policy, strategy and technical work related to biomass/bioenergy
Your Profile
Applicants should be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline and have proven experience within the Bioenergy sector. A thorough understanding of UK renewable energy and climate change policy and legislation is essential. Experience in the following fields is required to effectively carry out this role - biomass combustion, co-firing, electricity production and CHP. You will have a comprehensive understanding of the legislative requirements and planning permission procedures for building new sustainable energy facilities, and have experience conducting feasibility studies and/or preparing applications to finanace projects.
Fluency/proficiency in a second language is desirable.
