Our Client, a major player producing solutions for the Energy Market, immediately seeks a BUSINESS ANALYST.
You will be required to develop new and improve existing business processes and systems to make the existing operation more effective.
Evaluate business justifications for action, examining the impact of change, performing in-depth analysis of business requirements and documenting detailed system requirements.
You will also be required to support the testing process and the implementation of new systems and processes.

Accountability/Key Responsibilities

Responsible for business processes to support new and existing business operations.
Provide detailed IT systems expertise to internal/external customers. Must include ability to understand detailed system architecture, database structures and necessary data configurations.
Work closely with the business in the definition of enhancements to existing services or in the provision of new services and business processes.
Assessing scope and functionality of software and defining detailed system requirements.
High Level and detailed analysis of business requirements for both internally and externally driven change including customer requirements and industry regulations.
Evaluate the potential benefit, assess options for providing alternative solutions with associated costs and benefits and subsequently propose a direction.
Detailed functional specification of new and enhancement functionality. To include detailed specification of system processes, process modelling, data modelling and data flow modelling, performance, configuration data, operational and migration requirements
Analyse and define the specifications within a structured software development environment. Provide subsequent support of the testing and deployment processes.

Knowledge
Essential
3+ years of Business experience
Exposure to business analysis and making decisions that affect the IT solutions and architectures.

Have specified IT system requirements to meet business needs.
Working knowledge of System architectures, Databases, Hardware, & Comms
Working knowledge of IT and Software development processes
Possesses understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design.
