Sales & Marketing Director
Aldermaston
£70k base salary (plus benefits and bonuses)
Our client is one of the UKs leading supplier and maintainer of emergency and back-up power systems, including Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSs), diesel generators and battery banks,
The company?s clients range from small businesses to the very largest corporations

The company has grown steadily since its formation in 1996. Now at a critical growth stage with revenues expected to exceed £15M in 2008 it is important to fill the position of Sales and Marketing Director with an outstanding candidate to assist the transition to the next level of development.

The Role
To plan, manage, co-ordinate and direct sales activities and marketing strategies, to maintain and increase the sales of the Company?s range of hardware and service products to UK customers.

1.Formulate and agree sales and marketing strategies and implement and control in line with agreed marketing budgets.
2.Manage the UK Sales Manager and the Service Sales Manager, and other staff
3.Conduct joint customer field visits with the UK Sales Manager and Service Sales Manager
4.Ensure the ongoing development of existing key accounts.
5.Attend Board meetings, during which the Sales & Marketing Director will be required to present an overview of the Company?s sales performance and marketing activities.
6.Manage external marketing agencies ensuring they perform to required standards,

The Candidate
?Preferred graduate with extensive experience in sales within an Electrical Capital Goods Sales Organization.
?Preferred Background in the Power Protection Industry or related electrical capital goods industry.
?Ability to develop and foster long term relationships with consultants, contractors, resellers and end users.
Job Requirements
?Strong business development background with extensive experience in electrical capital goods.
?Planning, Organisational and Leadership Skills.
?Capability to understand new technical systems and apply them to customer needs.
?Basic legal and advanced business knowledge.
?Selling, influencing, negotiating and problem solving skills.
?Excellent presentation and communication skills.
?Minimum 5 Years senior sales experience.
