Primary Function of the Regulatory Compliance Officer:
Ensures plant level EHS programs, policies, procedures and systems are developed,implemented and sustained to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulatory requirements and conformance with Eaton Corporation mandates.
Essential Functions:
Environmental -
* Prepares and submits all required environmental permit application/renewals and routine agency reports, e.g.: CAA, CWA, CERCLA, SARA, RCRA
* Co-ordinates and/or directs the plants ISO 14001 EMS
Health and Safety -
* Develops/maintains all required safety plans etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Thorough knowledge of RCRA requirements
* Detailed comprehension of industry/state/country specific environmental, health, and safety requirements
* Through knowledge of Hazard materials Handling and Emergency Response requirements
* understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes
* Knowledge of financial concepts and techniques utilized to establish value propositions of operational changes
* Ability to direct and lead cross-functional process improvement teams
* Recognised lead and/or internal auditing certificate
* Degree qualified/or alternative
The successful applicant would need to be prepared to travel. This role will initially be site based (Bognor Regis) but it will grow into a UK wide role - CDM checks on Installation sites, and could include Global travel to support with reg and compliance across the business group in the US, Switzerland and New Zealand.
