Salary between 45k-95k Euros (£40k-£75k)

Our client is a leading operator in the supply of services to the national power grid of Ireland. The functions of the company include operation of the power system incl scheduling, demand forecasting and power generation

Transmission Asset Management (TAM) is responsible for the translation of identified system reinforcements, refurbishments and connections from conceptual stage through planning permission into the design stage and for ensuring the maintenance of the transmission system.

Dependent upon your level of expertise you will have responsibility for some or all of the following

Main Responsibilities
-Manage from conception to completion a suite of capital projects on behalf of the company.
-Prepare and obtain approval for annual budgets for area of responsibility and operate within these budgets
-Support public relations issues pertaining to the approval process for new assets in area of responsibility
-Manage contractual arrangements for area of responsibility
-Report as required on all projects within area of responsibility

Consultant Engineer / Principal Engineer / Senior Lead Engineer / Senior Engineer

The role holder is responsible for the co-ordination of ongoing complex assignments and large scale projects. You will formulate and develop policies that impact on the department and the company as a whole.

Qualifications / Experience

Essential
-Engineering qualification to degree level or equivalent.
-At least 4-10 years relevant post-qualification experience in the Power/Transmission or construction sector.
-Excellent interpersonal skills
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Advanced project management and/or asset management skills
-Proven experience of working under contractual obligations
-Team Leadership as required
-Strong communication experience particularly in relation to dealing with third parties such as the media, politicians, community groups etc.
Advanced knowledge of 110/220/400kV transmission technology
Full driving licence

Desirable
-Advanced negotiation skills for way leave management.
-Advanced presentation skills.
