Managing Director UK : Midlands - £100K package
UK Subsidiary of a European specialist electrical space heating manufacturing company. Midlands Base.
The position is to manage the front end sales and commercial profit centre in the UK and liaise with European manufacturing as appropriate from which the UK business is well supported.
The appointment is being made because the existing Managing Director is retiring. The turnover is between £3.5 and £5.0 million with strong margins and an excellent performance history.
The product range consists of fixed and wall mounted heating appliances with a premium position in the market place priced at the high end with advanced design features and functionality. Product is sold through influencing architects, specifiers, consultants, contractors, designers etc in order to get the product specified into building projects on a national basis. The product is well known but is not a mainstream consumer brand available through the more usual distributor, wholesaler and retail routes to market.
Some 20 people are employed in the UK business. This is a high specification product and the new Managing Director will require excellent leadership, sales and P&L experience and be capable of managing the high degree of independence that comes with the role. A knowledge of the specifier market place is essential plus the relevant building regulations etc which will govern the ultimate selection of this product by the customer.
