Our client is seeking a fully qualified Electrician to 16th Edition for its site at Basrah Airport, Southern Iraq.

This position is based at the UK MOD site at Basrah Airport and the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of electrical duties that emerge at this UK military camp.

Knowledge and Skills:

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Electrician to 16th Edition (preferably with a JIB Card) and ideally have experience of planned / reactive maintenance.

You will have experience of PPM, fault finding and repair of a variety of both domestic and industrial equipment.
A pre-requisite for this position is candidates must be qualified to 16th Edition and possess the 16th Edition Inspection & Testing Certificate.
Experience of working in post conflict, remote sites or in other arduous environments would be ideal.

You should possess excellent communication skills in English and be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.

Good communication skills are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.

You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.

Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence.
