We are currently looking for an experienced Design Office Manager to join a leading supplier of specialist products for the construction and building industry. From our headquarters in Stafford, we have been supplying masonry reinforcement for nearly 100 years

The ideal person should be a qualified Structural or Civil Engineer to a recognized institute level and must be experienced in design of Masonry, Reinforced Concrete or Structural Steelwork.  It is desirable that the candidate will have the ability to detail using AutoCAD and have a working knowledge of the latest design software
He or she will be part of our Technical department motivating and overseeing the designs and detailing being produced in our busy department, a level of personnel management skills will be necessary and have the ability to interact between departments, the position will also involve an aptitude to assist in the development of new products within our market It would be useful if the person has experience in commercial FE design packages and other design software being used in the industry.
The position would therefore suit a Technical Engineer who has gained their qualifications whilst working for a Consultant Engineers or Pre-cast Concrete manufactures, rather than only the academic route to date.
Hours of work will be 8.30-5.00pm, Monday to Friday and the successful candidate can expect a salary of £35,000-£40,000 depending on experience.
