The Company

The UK subsidiary for a leading American corporation. They specialise in high tech industrial equipment for the oil, gas and materials handling sectors. The UK operation generates a turnover in the region of £10m and specialises in products used in the materials handling sector. The majority of their work is project driven and involves new product introduction as well as variations on a theme. To support an increasing demand for their product across Europe the need to recruit 2 Design Engineers has arisen.

The Role

Depending on the project you may support the sales team, be involved in design meetings or take a specification from the design manager. You will produce designs for manufacture and trouble shoot on the shop floor during assembly. You will do conceptual designs and component design using Pro Engineer or AutoCAD and will be required to work autonomously for a large part of your time.

The Candidate

You must be a competent design engineer with a few years practical experience. You will be experienced at using 3D design packages (ideally Pro-E or Solidworks) and have good communication skills. Previous experience of designing sheet metal applications would be an advantage.
