Senior/Principal Supply Chain Consultant : Basingstoke/Bristol : up to £75,000 depending on experience + car + bonus + pension + 25 days? holiday + disability insurance

This defence and engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior/Principal Supply Chain Consultant to lead small teams designing and delivering end to end supply chain solutions to a range of global blue-chip clients in the public and private sectors.

Based at client sites as necessary, you will be expected to take a strategic overview of the existing supply chains and make appropriate recommendations to optimise both tactical procurement and operational activities. You will then work as a senior or lead member of the change management team to help drive through effective organisation change.

You are likely to have at least 10 years? experience in supply chain, and will be able to demonstrate the significant changes you have designed, created and/or made to a large-scale supply chain process. Core skills include mapping and benchmarking, modelling and simulation, risk and contingency planning. Desirable skills include logistics and operations management, lean supply chains and contract drafting and negotiation strategies. You will have a first degree or equivalent as a minimum, together with a relevant professional qualification (MCIPS). You must have complete mobility as you will be required to attend clients? sites throughout the UK for as long as required. Experience in defence and security, transport, utilities and technology, and/or Central Government would be a distinct advantage.
