Overall Purpose of the post:

This role will take you out regularly to sites across the region where you will be monitoring project progress, submitting monthly reports, detailing any problems and endorsing or qualifying the proposed draw down of funds.

Summary of duties:

The role includes:

? My client is a large, multi-disciplinary construction and property consultancy with a well established reputation throughout the UK.

? The property tax and financial solutions arm of the business works in partnership with a range of clients from small companies to blue chip global corporations. Providing services including capital allowances, regeneration incentives, risk consulting and VAT advice, they work with public and private clients across a variety of sectors.

? The Manchester office specialises in managing the risk element attached to construction projects. They carry out due diligence on behalf of a number of banking institutions in respect of technical risks involved in the construction process, for example, contractual,, procurement, insurance provisions and suitability of the contractor and professional team. Workload in Manchester is generated from public and private sector clients and incorporates healthcare, education, residential, retail and leisure projects.

Experience:

Previous experience in the role is desirable but not essential as the company will provide full training. Above all, applicants must demonstrate ambition, excellent communication skills and professionalism.

Qualifications:

Ideally a degree in a ?built environment? subject and/or working towards a relevant professional qualification, typically: MRICS, MCOIB, MAPM, or equivalent.

? Be an accomplished Quantity Surveyor (PQS or Contracting) or GP/Building Surveyor.
