Quantity Surveyors (Rail) - London - South London - salary £30k - £55k + Bens

My client is a nationwide Construction and Property Consultancy and are now looking for a number of Rail Quantity Surveyors within the London region.

Professional Skills:

Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying and Estimating experience and will include all rail disciplines including signalling, track, telecoms, civils, stations and buildings. Contractor or Consultancy background. Candidates will be expected to work within a team responsible for a variety of construction and engineering projects. Duties will generally comprise but not be limited to:

? Measuring and describing building and civil engineering construction work including the preparation of tender documentation
? Preparing and using detailed budgets and cost plans
? Preparing and interpreting turnover / cash flow projections and profit / loss forecasts
? Undertaking the valuing of variations and potential variations
? Preparing interim applications for payment
? The preparation and agreement of final accounts
? Management and control of projects
? Deal with contractual issues including extensions of time, loss and or expense claims, terms and conditions etc with assistance where appropriate

Personal Specification:

Candidates ideally will have attained a recognised degree in the building construction and/or civil engineering profession, be chartered or working to become a member of the RICS or CIOB, or have a minimum of 3 year?s experience with demonstrable knowledge or skills in the following areas:

? The building construction, rail and/or civil engineering industry
? IT and the ability to use a variety of computer software
? Good written and oral communications skills
? Good presentation and interpersonal skills
? Client Management

Experience can be from any rail related discipline : civils, telecommunications, signaling etc.

Demonstrate a good all round knowledge of the following:

? Building Construction and/or Civil Engineering Technology
? Measurement Practice and application
? Mechanical Services Technology
? Electrical Services Technology
? Public Health Technology
? Construction Law and Practice
? Commercial Management Practices
?
