Job Purpose

This position has the responsibility for preparing all vehicles so that they are fully cleaned and roadworthy ready for customers? use in accordance within our clients company Standards.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Maintain personal appearance and image. Observe uniform and personal appearance as laid down by company standards.

2. At Branches operating a T-card system complete T-Cards as directed by The Branch Manager.

3. Complete daily routine maintenance for tyres, pressure, tread, reservoir levels including fuel is carried out ensuring that the spare tyre, jack, wheel brace are all stowed away and that all equipment : radio, lights, fan, etc are working. Reporting any defects the to line Supervisor or Manager. Ensure vehicles are cleaned to Pre Rental Standards.

4. Identify new damage raising follow the Damage Procedure at all times.

5. Re-fuel vehicles and ensure vouchers and receipts are attached to daily Petrol Logs. For Branches with on site tanks record drawn fuel on Petrol Logs.

6. Accurately complete Pre Rental Inspection Report. Where operational circumstances allow, complete a physical check of the vehicle with the customer at both the start and end of the Rental.

7. Maintain sufficient number of vehicles in ready lines and prioritise cleaning of vehicles with reservation manifest.

8. When handing over vehicles to customers demonstrate vehicle controls and provide explanations as necessary.

9. Identify Licensee vehicles and isolate from Corporate Fleet.

10. Perform daily physical fleet check as directed by Branch Manager.

11. Maintain work area, ensuring it is kept clean and tidy on a daily basis.

12. Ensure compliance with the Company?s Health and Safety standards, and report any serious concerns to senior management immediately.

13. Ensure that customers? problems/concerns regarding rentals are dealt with according to company standards.

14. Perform other reasonable duties and ?special assignments? as required by the business.


Job Knowledge / Skills and Qualifications

1. Possess a current clean and valid driving licence.

2. Good verbal communication skills.

3. Physically fit.

4. Knowledge of car rental.

5. Experience of basic maintenance of vehicles and possess a mechanical aptitude.

6. Ability to work to specific deadlines and organise time accordingly.

7. Ability to work outdoors irrespective of weather conditions.
