Our Client a leading manufacturer within the Automotive industry are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Team Leader. You will be fully accountable for Plant improvement relating to peripheral equipment (non specific machinery). You will be working with contractors to identify opportunities to move electrical installations in house and to ensure a high standard of workmanship.

You will be responsible for the day to day workload of the team as well as the set up and control of the workshop to manufacture many outsourced items in order to decrease costs and improve lead times.

You will be required to take ownership for ongoing project work to improve the flexibility of the plant. Also take ownership for the maintenance and development of packaging and oversee the manufacture of packaging. whilst you will be needed to ensure that faults are reported following company procedures you will also need to establish and respect the budget for the pay roll and the expenses of the Maintenance Department.

It will be your responsibility to ensure that the company policies, procedures, Health & Safety and environmental issues are adhered to at all times and that the company property is respected.
You will aim to have work & projects completed to plan in a timely manner. You will be involved in the design of new packaging and the repair of existing packaging for mass production internally or through nominated supplier.

You will be active in Supplier development and follow up to provide ergonomic packaging of good quality as well as being responsible for monitoring and achieving budget.
The successful candidate will be City & Guilds Qualified, will have 5 years relevant experience along with knowledge of Plant Maintenance / improvement. You will be confident in Electrical problem solving with a PLC understanding and will have knowledge in Project Management.
