Our Client a leading manufacturer within the Automotive industry is looking to recruit an experienced Development & Industrialisation Engineer. You will be fully accountable for the following development areas.
New projects in the plant and design changes to make sure that the quoted targets will be achieved and all costs recovered. You will set up and complete all the documents in relation with the new projects (FMEA, Specifications, and Testing).
You will be required to conceive and develop all the means to set up the new project in production (Labour, Material, Tools, Lighting, and Maintenance) including the dies and checking fixtures and create the process and layout.
You will be responsible for setting up the work standards, process parameters, daily records, production reports and to ensure the training of employees in Production, Quality and Logistics.
You will support the quality levels in terms of boundary samples for the new project, develop the new project until all targets are achieved and are sustainable and communicate all useful documentation to all departments.
Your requirements will also include improving the process and method based on SQCDDM to improve profitability and optimise performances - Lean Manufacturing. To study the process and define the standards (TAKT, CYCLE, OEE, MAN-MAN, Movement and Layout)
You will need to define all the parameters of the process (Tuning, Tolerances, Trigger Point and Maintenance). Improve the visual Management of the plant (Work Standards, Visual Aids, Reports and communication). Whilst ensuring conformity to Health & Safety and Environmental standards and communicate all changes and update systems (Quality, Production, Logistics, Maintenance and Finance).
The suitable candidate will have 2-3 years proven experience in an equivalent position in the Automotive industry. You will be required to have sound knowledge in engineering, both method and process. If you have suitable attributes the please call Kay Pepper for an immediate interview.
