Our client a manufacturer of precision sheetmetal fabrications and machined parts to the aerospace and power generation sectors, is seeking to expand its skilled shopfloor workforce, and has retained us to recruit a Mechanical Inspector.

You will have previous experience in the inspection processes for precision sheetmetal assemblies and machined components. You must have the ability to use all measuring instruments e.g. Micrometers, verniers, height gauges etc. Experience in the use of a CMM would be an advantage but not essential. You must also be able to work from engineering drawings and have the ability to complete all relevant inspection reports/paperwork.

The position will initially start on a temporary basis with the transfer to permanent status after a trial period of approximately 3 months. Permanent benefits include overtime at premium rates, 25 days holiday + statutory bank holidays, pension scheme after a qualifying period.
