Our client is the market leader in the service and repair of tail lifts and door shutters for commercial vehicles and has many well-known blue chip companies among its clients.
They offer a 24 hour a day, 365 day per year service for both tail lifts and shutters with teams throughout the UK offering unrivalled national coverage for service, weight testing, repairs and preventative maintenance of all equipment either on site or at one of their seven regional workshops.
The company has a successful growth and expansion programme and has recently obtained new contracts with a number of blue chip companies. With over 8,000 vehicles on maintenance contract, our Client is now seeking a Controller for their regional workshop based in the Bristol area.
Reporting into the Location Manager this is a key role ensuring that customer requirements are met and providing effective administrative support to the depot management team.
The successful candidate will ensure effective processing of all follow up work, including updating customers of work required, identification of parts and submitting estimates.
You will support the Operations Controller in dealing with breakdown, servicing and customer support enquiries, deputizing for the Controller when required.
You will liaise with branch staff to ensure accounting and operational deadlines are met.
You will deal with customer queries, ensuring order numbers are obtained and will ensure efficient customer administration.
You will ensure accurate and timely completion of all company documentation within company guidelines and will ensure timely and complete adherence to all company administrative procedures.
Finally you will update and maintain computer recording and operational systems.
Knowledge and Skills:
Ideally you will be an accomplished Administrator or Customer Services Co-ordinator with your experience ideally having been gained in an automotive engineering service environment.
You should have excellent planning and organisation skills coupled with good communications skills. You should be a natural team player.
You will have an adaptable and flexible approach and be able to plan ahead, whilst establishing short-term priorities.
