SUMMARY
Our client is a Bristol based dynamic, rapidly expanding niche consultancy business, which provides US owned high tech enterprises with the support they need to operate successfully worldwide.
As a recognised expert in our field they are growing at an exceptional rate and are looking for motivated team players, who would enjoy the challenge of working in a unique, international environment, where success is driven by results and a high quality client service. To aid their expansion they are looking to recruit a VAT Specialist to be based in their Central Bristol Office.

CORE RESPONSIBILITES
As a VAT Specialist you will be required to interpret and keep up to date with VAT law, regulations and notices and provide training and advice to your colleagues and clients on a range of UK and European VAT areas.
You will be required to review VAT returns and offer specialist support and advice to the company accountancy teams and tax colleagues on all issues relating to VAT compliance. You will have regular contact with clients and will deal with a variety of issues including:

?Cross Border Transactions : Place of Supply.
?Electronically supplied services.
?Liaising with Revenue & Customs on VAT enquiries.
?Managing our client?s International VAT / GST return filings.
?8th/13th Directive refund claims.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
The ideal candidate must have a sound working knowledge of HM Revenues and Customs (HMRC) and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of current VAT issues. The ability to interpret legislation and communicate effectively is essential as is the ability to produce a high standard of work and meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a positive and flexible attitude and a firm understanding of Microsoft Office packages.
