SENIOR REPORTING ACCOUNTANT - Grangemouth
Our client a top 10 practice requires a Senior Reporting Accountant to join their team based in Grangemouth. Reporting the Reporting Manager your role the purpose of your job will be as follows:
?To provide a high quality financial reporting service to our clients, exceeding service standards profitably
?To own the client relationship with defined clients and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of services for both financial reporting and transactional services
?To ensure strong communication links between Transactional Services, internal and external clients
?To identify improvement opportunities both in quality and efficiency
?To support the winning of new business and the seamless transition of new work into the delivery centre
?To coach and support fellow team members
As the Senior Reporting Accountant your Principal Responsibilities will be as follows:
?To ensure all services are delivered to their clients, exceeding service targets, profitably.
?To ensure the quality of information provided to their clients are of the highest standard including commentary and variance analysis
?Managing client delivery by scheduling, supervising and reviewing work to ensure appropriate standards are met and exceeded.
?Managing client and third party relationships from initial set up meetings, liaising with other key contacts, to on going service issues; building trust and monitoring service standards; responding quickly to client needs
?Profitable development of business by assisting in the winning of new clients: cross selling additional services and introducing other service lines: securing ongoing and recurring work from clients
?To ensure all processes are fully documented and kept up to date
?To ensure SLA?s are documented and monitored
?Key performance measures acted upon on an ongoing basis
?Coaching and developing team members
?Supporting the interview process for new recruits and to make logical and supported recommendations/decisions as to suitability
?Managing value and avoiding risk through timely planning and resourcing
?Identifying opportunities for improvement and fostering a culture of change
?Able to lead the implementation of new client set ups
?Developing strong client relationships and managing client queries effectively
?Any other duties as would be reasonably expected
Your Accountabilities/Key Performance Indicators will be as follows:
?Produce first draft accounts with minimal review points/error, meeting personal targets
?High quality services provided to all clients ensuring team and personal target are met and client deadlines are met or exceeded.
?Services provided effectively ensuring teams remain within budget
?Key performance measures targets established and effectively monitored
?Client deadlines are met or are exceeded.
To be considered for this post, all applicants should have the following skills and experience:
?Minimum of a pass in GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths (Accounting Higher or A Level desirable but not essential)
?Excellent knowledge and practical application of accounting standards.
?Excellent attention to detail
?Commercially aware and able to advise clients on financial performance
?Motivated to provide the highest quality service to clients
?Ability to manage own workload and prioritise effectively
?Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with an ability to liaise with people at all levels
?Awareness of client needs and expectations - acting promptly to resolve matters in a clear and professional manner
?Ability to work well with team members to assist in achieving common objectives
?Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
?Sage : excellent understanding of all general ledger functions without supervision
?Solution focused : able to analyse and provide innovative solutions for complex situations.
?Able to use own initiative to develop improvements to systems, procedures and encourage better teamwork
?Self awareness in respect of communication with colleagues and personal development
