Management Accountant
Circa 45k + car + excellent benefits
Our client requires a Management Accountant to join their Finance team based in Farnborough, Hampshire.
The position involves managing a team of three and the main responsibilities include:
? Preparation of monthly financial statements in line with agreed timetables
? Preparation of internal and external monthly financial data
? Preparation of monthly cash forecasts
? Supervision of all treasury related transactions
? VAT and Intrastat reporting
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
? Maintaining a high standard of general ledger accuracy
? Preparation of the monthly Operating Statements including preparation of accruals and prepayments in line with the Company?s accounting policies
? Preparation and maintenance of directory costing data for Management reporting
? Ensuring that the monthly internal and external financial reports are prepared and issued to agreed timetables
? Ensuring that the Cashbooks and Petty Cash records are maintained accurately
? Ensuring that all balance sheet accounts and bank accounts are fully reconciled on a monthly basis
? Supervision of the preparation and issuing of the monthly accounts book
? Preparation of the monthly reporting pack to SEAT, entering into SEAT?s finance system EASY and handling of questions raised in respect of the data
? Preparation of monthly cash forecasts for issue to SEAT
? Preparation of forecast and budget data in SEAT format and entering into SEAT?s finance system EASY
? Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
? Ensuring that the monthly intrastat returns are completed and filed
? Preparation of monthly governmental statistical returns
? Preparation of year end schedules for the Company?s auditors
? Assisting the Chief Accountant in the preparation of the Company?s Statutory Accounts
? Provision of financial data as set or requested by the Chief Accountant or the Finance Director
? Management of Management Accounts staff, including reviews, training and staff development
Ideally you will be a qualified Accountant with people management experience and tax and VAT experience.
As this is a highly pressured role all applicants will need excellent time management, organisational and communication skills. A must for this role is advanced Excel skills.
