Head of Operations and Finance - West Bromwich, West Midlands
Salary up to £40,000
Our public sector Client is an innovative new enterprise that is dedicated to making a change in the quality of people?s lives through art and participation. They will, from the summer of 2008, offer creative, innovative programmes to local and international visitors and t will also aim to attract those who never usually attend art galleries. They will also implement learning programmes for schools and will be the hub of a major re-generation of the local area to create a quality living space. You will be based in a landmark public building operating as an art gallery and showcasing the talent of local, national and international artists.
They are looking for an individual who has preferably had experience in the public sector of successfully winning funding through writing tenders and also has a passion for the creative arts and making a difference to an area in a phase of re-generation. You must have experience of business planning including writing operational and financial plans and have the ability to set and implement process indicators and performance targets against those plans. You will serve on the Board of the enterprise as well as the HR and Financial committees and will represent the gallery at external conferences and events. You must embed this new initiative into the community and build sustainable supplier relationships. Experience of general management or working with small businesses or public sector organisations would be preferable. Interviews will take place in early March for short listed candidates.
