FINANCE ASSISTANT

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to work for one of our high profile clients in Colchester, Essex.

The Role

? You will be part of a busy finance team that maintains top quality management accounts and delivers first class management information to the company?s Board and to the Holding Company Board.
? As Finance Assistant you will provide key support to the Accounts Manager and work alongside the Finance team in the processing of these accounts.
? You will obtain a working knowledge of SOP and assist with Sales and Purchase Ledgers.
? You will process bank transaction postings and reconciliations.
? You will process nominal journals and vat journals.
? You will assist in the preparing of monthly accounts to trial balance.
? You will prepare spreadsheet analysis for reporting purposes.
? You will also assist with the preparation of Payroll, P11d and Paye settlement agreement analysis at year end.
? You will assist with preparing vat and EC vat returns.
? You will assist with preparing monthly pension, health insurance and annual life insurance analysis.
? In addition to the specific elements above you will be an integral member of the finance team, providing help and assistance within the department as required.

? Demonstrable, successful experience in all aspects of the role
? Strong administration and organisational skills
? Keen accuracy and attention to detail
? Good computer skills
? Able to work effectively under pressure and to a high quality.
? Ability to learn and retain at a high volume
