Our Client is a multi- national food logistics and facilities provider providing food logistics, catering, fm and retail services across The Middle East, Africa and Near Asia.
Our client is now seeking a Director of Finance and Administration for its Food Logistics Division.
Reporting into the Divisional Director the successful candidate will manage a team of around 15 staff including the accounting team, Business Unit Controllers, HR Manager and IT Manager.
The primary objectives of the role are the provision of overall financial guidance to the Divisional Management team, assuring that decisions are taken on a solid financial basis and making an active contribution to the Division?s financial success.
Also taking responsibility for the capital employed belonging to the Division and ensuring effective HR and IT services are provided to the Division.
The successful candidate will ensure that monthly management accounts are produced on time. You will prepare and present a business review and forecasts and participate in monthly business review meetings, presentation of results etc.
You will monitor the capital employed: fixed assets, inventory, prepayments, accounts receivables and also monitoring of accounts receivables: review of open-items list, making sure that credit policies are adhered to.
You will make regular visits to the region / the depots from which the main activity of the Division is performed.
Finally you will prepare budgets, forecasts, further breakdowns of income, costs and profits by sub-units, products and/or customers and will define and monitor key drivers and KPIs for the Division.

Knowledge and Skills:
The successful candidate should have a tertiary qualification in Accounting or Business Administration (MBA preferred) and be an accomplished Financial Director or Financial Controller with some experience in a similar position ideally in an international fm, international product or trading company.
You should have significant auditing experience and be capable of preparing annual financial statements according to IRFS.
In addition you should have knowledge of business process re-engineering, excellent computer knowledge (ORACLE/Financials, MS Office, Microsoft Dynamics AX, OLAP Database and reporting tools) and a high level of analytical skills.
You should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and ideally one other language.
You should possess a high level of initiative, problem solving and decision making ability, be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner, work to tight deadlines and pay attention to the detail.
Superb inter-personal skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence.
This is an outstanding challenge for an accomplished finance professional looking for something different located in the exciting city of Dubai.
The basic salary is paid in US Dollars and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. In addition there is an annual profit sharing bonus payable which is also paid in US Dollars and tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. A relocation / furniture allowance of $4,500 is also payable.
A Jeep Cherokee Sport is provided as a company car or alternatively a car allowance of 615 US Dollars per month may be taken. Family medical cover is provided as is a laptop and mobile phone.
The holiday entitlement is 5 weeks plus public holidays. Ex-Patriate employees will also receive 1 paid return economy flight per year and Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client.
