Business Finance Manager - London - Salary £45,000 - £50,000
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Manger to fill this position. This role is for a well known Housing Association company based in West London.
Objectives
To manage the team responsible for delivering a range of support services to the BD&M
department, including provision of M.I. and contact handling. You will also
be a key contact for internal and external stakeholders who have a business or
contractual right for information relating to the performance of the activities undertaken
by the BD&M dept on behalf of CHG. You will also be responsible (by
agreement with the BD&M management team) for the effective and efficient deployment
of flexible departmental resources including project and admin support.
Main Duties
? To provide and manage the cash programme management function for the group?s Homebuy/Zone Agency (or other 3rd party) schemes.
? In conjunction with the Group Director and the BD&M management team to construct, monitor and report on the Departments budget and business plan.
? Meet Regulatory, legal and partner requirements in providing statistical and business information regarding Business Development and Marketing activity.
? Set Departmental audit standards to meet the requirements of the Group internal and external auditors, Regulators and funding partners. Carry out audit checks periodically on the Department?s files making appropriate recommendations of required actions.
? To continually review the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes within the Dept by obtaining and using accurate data. Thereafter to initiate, facilitate and assist with ?continuous improvement? initiatives.
? To indirectly manage the team providing ?contact handling? services (e.g. receiving enquires and application handling) on behalf of the HomeBuy Agency and New Build operational teams.
? To take the lead within the Dept for the development and maintenance of the database/Contact Management Systems in order to improve the Department?s ?data integrity? (particularly in relation to its HomeBuy Agency activities) in order to generate high levels of confidence within the operational teams (HomeBuy Agency and New Build/Resales) with regard to the information they use and the service given to customers.
Job description
? To manage the deployment of the Dept?s flexible support resources (project support and admin) in agreement with the management team in order to optimise the use of these resources on a priority needs basis in order to best achieve the Dept?s overall objectives.
? To provide support as required to the Group Director of BD&M and the Business Development Managers with regard to the initial evaluation of Business Development opportunities. To work closely with the Finance Dept when selected Business Development opportunities are undergoing rigorous financial modelling and evaluation.
? To liaise with all relevant external bodies to maintain a sound knowledge of the housing market, low cost home ownership and other relevant issues and development?s.
? To manage, motivate and develop Business Support resources in order to achieve Team objectives and the wider Dept. objectives.
? To work constructively and productively with the other members of the BD&M Management team and Dept. in order to achieve the objectives of the wider dept.and company.
? To fulfil any other duties or projects commensurate with the grade and role of the post as requested by the Group Director of BD&M.
The Ideal person will possess the following:
? Solid finance background
? Commercial acumen and ideally some understanding of or experience within the LCHO sector of the housing sector.
? Experience of relationship management. You will be the lead person in establishing and managing (external) client relationships.
? Enquiring mind and pragmatic ?can do? approach to customer service delivery and process improvements.
? Experience of managing, motivating and developing people and sizeable cost budgets.
