Assistant Accountant - Bradford : West Yorkshire : £18000 per annum + benefits
Our client is looking for a Assistant Accountant to work in one of its busy offices in Bradford.
Ideally you will have gained or be working towards an accounting qualification.
Main Job Responsibilities
? Preparation of the annual budget for various Schemes
? Performing variance analysis on a monthly basis
? Prepare and post journals as appropriate
? Identify year end accruals / prepayments
? Authorise invoices on the financial system
? Assist in providing training to operational staff
? Handle queries from internal & external customers
Key skills required
? Ability to deal with people at various levels
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Knowledge of standard accounting practices
? Letter writing skills
? Working knowledge of financial systems
? Able to communicate technical concepts in plain language
? Microsoft Word, Excel (intermediate)
